It’s been a year since Kanye West released his fifth studio album, 808 and Heartbreak. With the world as obsessed as ever with Yeezy’s personal life, many have questioned whether he should have released the album at all. In fact, on this one particular night during a recent tour stop in California, Kanye had enough of people talking about it and decided to end their conversation with a performance of his new song “FML” – which is where the album title comes from. However … despite what you may believe about this controversial release – especially given that not a lot of people thought it was quality work – there are still some people out there who think highly of 808 and Heartbreak ... including one particular man who just shared his thoughts on Twitter. “I don't care what anybody thinks of 808s & Heartbreaks. It's my favorite Kanye West album period. #wewowowowowow,” wrote Frank Ocean on March 4, 2012. Frank Ocean is a writer and artist who has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and has recently signed to major label Def Jam Records. Forgetting that Yeezus has recently worked with Travi$ Scott and Big Sean, it seemed at first like he was saying that the album was his favorite in the Kanye catalog – but it turns out he also considers 808s & Heartbreak to be his favorite record of all time ... not just from Yeezy. In a follow-up post on Twitter, Frank also wrote, “My favorite album is channel ORANGE. But 808s is my favorite album to listen to because channel ORANGE might be the best album in the world, but … that's a life changer in a way that's not necessary when u listen to 808s.” Ocean’s two messages on Twitter were met with much love from his fans and followers – who replied with messages of their own in celebration of this news. Some were even “afraid” because they thought he was going to delete the messages ... but he didn't, and his words remain true. “The fact that he still loves these albums after what experience in life has taught him ... is right on,” wrote one fan. There are some people who still think 808s & Heartbreak is a better album than Born Sinner, for example. "I'm still perplexed by the Kanye comparisons of 808s to Born Sinner," said one fan. "He says that they are extremely different but that's not true. The production of both are done by Max/Def Jam producers, for example. The lyrics are just as empty of real thoughts and feeling on KS whereas 808s is more of a thought-provoking album. ” On the other hand, there are people who think 808s & Heartbreak is an inferior album compared to 808s and Heartbreak. "808's and Heartbreak was like a relationship: ended quickly," said another fan. "808's and Heartbreak was an album motivated by emotions, which you can't really do anymore with Yeezy because his thought process has been completely destroyed by fame.” This is the same man who wrote “Nike Air Yeezy 2” ... but right now he’s comparing the two albums produced by the same producers, Max B and JAY-Z, based on their lyrics. cfa1e77820
